TV Via the quick Channel 4 re-runs, finally saw Benton's final episode of e.r. which also featured a 'cameo' from The Book Group's Anne Dudek. She appears with all of the main characters and shares some of Benton's final dialogue in the hospital. If we can't get Clare Danes for the 'My So-Called Life' reunion movie, Dudek will do nicely as a grown up Angela Chase ...
Film If you can, go and see 'Lovely and Amazing' (previous previewed here). Sorry to report it isn't as good as director Nicole Holofcener's earlier film 'Walking and Talking' -- there was a tenderness there which is absent here. But it does have a revelatory performance from Emily Mortimer who on the basis of this role is someone to watch. Forget the girl we saw in Scream 3 who hadn't realised she was in a horror-spoof-comedy. Here she offers work of depth and maturity.
